Bubble Magus REEF-FREE Bio-Magnesium
Magnesium is important to keep calcium and alkalinity balance in reef aquaria. Magnesium could keep calcium carbonate supersaturated, so we could keep calcium and alkalinity at natural levels. Magnesium is also involved in algae photosynthesis directly and be incorporated into coral's growing calcium carbonate skeletons.
The natural seawater concentration of magnesium is 1285 ppm, we suggest keeping 1250-1350ppm in aquarium, but do not raise magnesium by more than 100 ppm per day. Without enough magnesium, it is difficult keeping the level of calcium and alkalinity in ideal range.
Usage:
One level measuring spoon increases the magnesium level of 30 gallons (US)/ 25 gallons (Imp.)/110 l of tank water by about 5 ppm. Maximum recommended dose is one level scoop for each 5 gallons (US) / 4 gallons (Imp) of tank water every other day.
